Live Web Conferencing!

Participation via live web conferencing is now available, for all Speaker Series events!! For more information on how to attend via Elluminate Live, please contact Robynne Edgar.

In order to join and participate in the Elluminate session, you will need a computer connected to the Internet, along with:

  1. Speakers connected to your computer
  2. Java installed and up-to-date on your computer (Note: this step only applies to Windows PC users. Mac computers come with Java pre-installed)

In order to test to see if you have Java installed and up-to-date, please go to http://www.elluminate.com/support/. If you see a green check-mark under ‘Step 1’, you are good to go. If you see red text indicating that you do not have the required software to launch Elluminate Live, you will need to install a new version of Java. This can be done at http://java.com/en/. On that page, click on ‘Free Java Download’ to get started. Note that if you are in a corporate environment, you may need to call your unit’s IT support staff to have Java installed or updated.

You can join the Elluminate session up to one hour prior to the published start time. We recommend logging in at least a few minutes early. To join the session, click on this link:

https://sas.elluminate.com/m.jnlp?sid=2009331&password=M.2C49CC4653EE9467BD0875D762ED2D

You will have to enter a display name and click ‘Login’ before the session will start.

Note: You may see a yellow bar appear at the top of your browser window. If so, click on the yellow bar and select ‘Download File…’ from the menu that pops up.

Once in the session, the last step is to check your speaker settings. To do so, open the ‘Tools’ menu, go to ‘Audio’ and then click on ‘Audio Setup Wizard’. Follow the directions in the wizard to adjust your speaker volume. If you have a microphone attached to your computer, you can complete the second half of the wizard. If not, you can close the wizard after confirming that you could hear the recorded message. This process will take 1 – 2 minutes.

There is no video, only audio but you will be able to view the power point live and ask questions on the chat box.

Note: This session will also be recorded and available for playback. To playback the recording, please click on the following link:
